Children’s Chance
was formed on September 25, 1996 by two mothers who had daughters
battling cancer. The organization was started to fill in gaps among
the current services provided for pediatric cancer patients and
their families. Children’s Chance & our Ambassador Zig the Pig
exist to assist children with
cancer and their families throughout the state of South Carolina
with non medical needs. Children’s Chance raises money to fund a
variety of programs to meet the financial, emotional, and
psychological needs of the pediatric cancer patient and their families.
Children's Chance is the only statewide non-profit organization that
assists families solely with non-medical needs such as paying
mortgages and electric bills and providing families with gas, food,
and grocery cards!
The gold ribbon is the national
symbol of Childhood Cancer Awareness. You can purchase a gold
ribbon pin for just $8.00 to show your support of children
fighting cancer across the nation - proceeds benefit programs
that help families in South Carolina who have a child with
cancer.
Contact Children's Chance if you wish to purchase a gold
ribbon pin. This is a great and easy way to show your support!
They will soon be available for sale
directly from our website at www.childrenschance.org.

If your child has been diagnosed with pediatric
cancer we are here to help your family with
financial, psychological, and emotional needs.
Children’s Chance provides financial assistance
for non medical bills through our Discretionary Program. Our Angel Funds Programassists
families with small out of pocket expenses such
as gas, food, and phone cards, to help relieve
the burden of trips to the clinics. We are also
here to help you deal with your thoughts and
feelings surrounding pediatric cancer. Through
the Children’s
Chance Counseling Program, your
family (individual, sibling, or group) can
receive counseling to help deal with the issues
surrounding a child’s cancer. Children’s Chance also funds a variety
of other programs through clinics throughout the
state. To find out more about programs funded by
Children’s Chance, please click on the Program link.
